For every diet I did – every time I lost weight, I was never happy. I still hated my body. Each time I lost weight and put it back on, I hated me more. The struggle inside of me about food was enormous. I was always at war with myself.

 

Each time I dieted I used a different ‘approach’; a different diet, a different exercise regime, a different “magic pill, drops, powder or potion” attempting to find the ‘one’ that would work forever!

 

The problem was when a diet would finish, eventually my eating habits would return to “normal”, sometimes immediately, sometimes slowly, but always they would return. Sometimes, I was like locus on a wheat field, just devouring everything, those are the times the weight came back fast!

 

But the worst part of all of it was that I really really really gave it my all and did everything I was supposed to do and still, I failed. I felt defeated! There were very dark times for me that followed after every failure, suicidal thoughts were not uncommon, I was failing to see any other options for me, it just seemed as though I only had two choices, remain fat forever – but I could never live with the shame, the guilt and the criticism – or end the suffering….
