It's a surreal moment isn't it? 
 

 

When you stand there, having an out of body experience watching yourself eat and wondering "Why can't I control my eating? Why am I putting food in my mouth I know I’ve decided not to eat? Why am I cheating on myself? I don't understand?"  

 

And even more bewildering is when you do all the "right things" and nothing happens or worse still, you put on weight!  

 

This is the shit that erodes at our confidence and image we have of ourselves. We think it’s an “us” thing, that no one else suffers this way and that everyone else has self-control.  

 

The real question becomes "How do I change what’s happening so I can get the health and life I want?"  

 

Now that question took me a quarter of a century to find the answer for

I eventually assembled “Team Katie”. My team consisted of trusted “unreasonable” friends” who I could discuss my challenges with. That means that while they were empathetic, they worked with me to help me proactively problem solve and assist me to work the program I had set in place for myself. They coached me to coach myself. 

 

๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿณ Nutritional Guidance: Learn about food. 

 

Good healthy life sustaining food really isn’t rocket science but we don’t realise that as there is so much debate over what is and isn’t good for us. It wasn’t until I wrote out my timeless guidelines for selecting food that I found my food freedom. 

 

๐Ÿ‹Physical Fitness: Moving our body daily and building strong muscles really is essential to great health and not only living longer but making the most of every lap around the sun we make.  

 

Daily exercise doesn’t have to mean daily trips to the gym as that’s unsustainable for the majority of people. But moving our bodies daily and building muscle strength through fun activities that we decide for ourselves is. Discovering what floats your boat and creating your own exercise routine is highly motivating and leads to sustainable fitness habits. 

   

๐Ÿ’ช Break Free from Stress & Anxiety: Mental and emotional fitness is equally important as physical, in fact they go together like a hand in a glove. 

 

I truly stepped into my freedom when I stepped out of living in stress and anxiety and developed my  Fun-da-Mentals™ and  Mind | Full | Awareness™ programs and these are an essential part of living a diet free life. Diets will never work unless we get a handle on emotional and impulse eating, and when we do, dieting is no longer necessary.
