I just wanted weight loss without the stress!๐Ÿ˜ณ

There are many many stressful things about being overweight isn’t there?

 
And for me, the most stressful part was trying to lose it.
 
Because it was always all about the  food; pre-planning and pre-preparing meals, restocking pantries and learning new recipes and changing the way I cooked because there was always a food group that I was no longer allowed to eat.
 
I really disliked the meal planning to be honest, because by the time any meal time came, I would be wanting/craving something entirely different – but, as I had gone to all that trouble of preparing it in advance and it was, after all, what I was supposed to be eating if I wanted to lose weight, I would sit down and eat my ‘good’ meal.
 
Then, because that meal wasn’t actually what I wanted to eat, because I   had a craving for something else, something entirely different, I would graze my way through the ‘allowable’ foods in the general vicinity looking for the “thing” that would satisfy the craving, that desire.
 
Eating ‘healthy sweet foods’ such as protein bars, ‘good’ for me sweets from the countless weight- loss books and recipes and sugar free lollies created binge eating – so even though they were considered ‘diet’ friendly I ate them in “unfriendly” non-diet proportions!

I was traumatised by food – all the different books, articles, news reports and theories, all conflicting and for each one that said something was bad, there would be another one that said it was ok.        

Talk about confusing!๐Ÿ˜ฒ

There is the plethora of eating styles and diets, the blood type diet, food combining, raw food, detoxing, the juice diet, eat 6 times a day, eat 3 times a day, eat your main meal in the morning, have breakfast, skip breakfast, eat this with that, don’t eat this with that, the Ayurveda diet, the X factor, the zone, Atkins, sure slim, WW, JC, the 2 & 5 diet, the list goes on, and I have been on almost all of them!.
 
And all say different things – high protein diet good, high protein diet bad, carbs good, carbs bad. Meat good, meat bad, vegetarian good, vegetarian not enough, eggs good, eggs bad, eggs good again. Fats bad, sugar bad, fruit bad, dairy bad, butter bad!
 
Shit, what’s a person to eat!!๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ญ
