I was reflecting on life today and had to share this with you!

I was thinking about you this morning when I woke, thinking where am I going to fit in time to write a newsletter to you today? 

 

My mind said,โ€ฏ“Hurry up Katie! You've got a lot on today, you don't have time to sit and write a newsletter!” 

 

But, I know you read my newsletters and I wanted to write to you and to connect with you today so I ignored what my mind was saying and my instinct to just hurry up and get on with things and I went ahead and did the opposite! 

 

Did you know that your daily instinct has you doing the same things over and over again

 

That's why I teach my clients how to go against that natural daily instinct and do the opposite. 

 

It’s only when you go against that instinct and stop following your daily routines and habits that new experiences can then flow into your life. 

 

If you’re feeling stuck right now, in your weight, health, life, happiness or mindset, it’s because daily habits, rituals and responses are governing you thoughts, feelings and behaviours. 

 

So how do you go against daily natural instinct? 

 

Whatever your mind wants you to do, just do the opposite or at least something very different.  

 

If your mind says, 

♥ You're too tired to exercise, then go exercise ๐Ÿƒ‍โ™€๏ธ 

♥ You're craving chocolate then, go outside and get some fresh air ๐ŸŒž 

♥ You want coffee then, drink water ๐Ÿฅ› 

♥ You want to go to the beach, then go hiking ๐ŸŒ„ 

♥ You want to do nothing, then get up and dance ๐Ÿ’ƒ 

♥ You want to stay at home, then go out and have some sunshine ๐ŸŒผ

♥ or in my case, you want to procrastinate and not write an email, then write it! โœ๏ธ 

 

Our mind follows habits and routines because that’s what’s it’s designed to do.  

 

And it’s not that it doesn't like change, it’s just not designed to implement change – that’s our job.  

 

 

If you don’t take the time to plan, strategize and implement change and retrain your brain, you will always find yourself in the same places you’ve always been.  

 

New experiences will only happen if you create space for them. 

 

We find our freedom when we can master our own behaviours, and go against that instinct.โ€ฏ 

 

For the next 7 days, go against every natural daily instinct and do the opposite and you will be surprised at how much change it will bring to your life
