We're on the countdown now, with only less than a week till Christmas!!

I've put together a list of simple yet effective ways for you to embrace the joy of Christmas this year.

And in the spirit of keeping it easy and simple, I will roll out the list over the rest of this week.

Lets take a proactive approach to 🎅Christmas because it's easier than you think!

Day 1:

🧭Make plans in advance where possible: I know that's a no brainer, but it's surprising how often it's overlooked and especially when it's still November, we just keep thinking we still have lots of time. But the reality is, you have less than 5 weeks and we all know how manic those last couple of weeks can get. So jump in and make your plan now for what you need to do and get started.

📝If you're not already someone who makes lists, now is a good time to embrace list making. It gets things out of your head and clears up space in there for feeling calm and you'll always remember the important things because you've written them down. The most important thing lists do is allow you to see all the things to be done in a snapshot and that allows you to easily prioritize the order and see what the next most important thing you need to do is and create a plan so you can keep moving forward.

🌡💥💣If you're a list making maniac (like me) and the size of you're to-do list is giving you cold sweats, then consider separating out the lists into possible and not possible. You still get the feeling of being in charge but you give yourself a reality check on what's actually possible to achieve in the time available. If you've got more to achieve than time available, you'll see which ones you're going to have to outsource or alter to ensure you achieve all you need to do.

If you haven't already been planning your approach to Christmas, now is the time to start. Stress and overwhelm are key drivers for emotional eating and taking some steps toward getting your planning underway will help you stay calm as we move towards another fun filled holiday season.
